Happily married to my best friend Julie since 2001 and we have a son Morgan and a daughter Maisie.
I work in the local steelworks where I had my accident 17 years ago and this resulted in me losing my right leg below the knee.
I’ve always had a love for the game of darts and when I was growing up loved watching bullseye and players like Eric Bristow and Jockey Wilson play.
Two memories I have is I use to go down my Nanna’s all the time when I was little with my dartboard and used to use her stairs to practice........good times.
Also, in Barry Butlins, I remember Jockey Wilson coming out of the bar and asked me to mind his pint while he went to the toilet. My Dad came back and wanted to know why I had a pint! When jockey came back he smiled tapped me on the head and said “thanks” my dads face was a picture!! haha!!
I’m involved with quite a bit of local darts, I’ve just started playing super league on a Tuesday, we have got a Wednesday league in our club where I’m lucky that my son and daughter play in, great fun seeing the youngsters play. I play with my mates and especially my son on a Friday but the team I think are very special is my Thursday team......Taibach C ‘The Wonky Donkeys’ lol where I fit right in. These boys are really good as individuals and as a team amazing but best of all really good friends. With a special guy in charge our captain and cousin John Morgan who told me about the BDDA.

Achievements in darts I Joined the BDDA in 2018 where I was lucky to win the first tournament, I played in up in Prestatyn in May - the Welsh Open. I also qualified for the World Masters later on in the year up in Bridlington where I became World Champion 2018. My family were there to share this special moment with me and hitting a 180 on stage on the tv was an added bonus.

This year I had the awesome honour of representing Wales in the first World Cup of darts in Belgium. A brilliant weekend where our team narrowly lost in the final to our friends from the England team. Great memories and I met some great new friends from different countries.

I have just played in Plymouth where I won the classic but lost in the semi finals of the open.

This darts family is awesome giving us opportunities to play the game we love and meeting new people along the way. Special people x
